For implantology supplies, the increase in prices avoided the implant fistulas themselves. In the Czech Republic, however, the prices of materials and supplies needed for the insertion of implants rose.
Inflation in 2023 did not pass by implantologists’ offices. While the year-on-year price increase for mini-implants, fixturs and laboratory analogues was in the order of one percent, it exceeded one-fifth for other implantology supplies.
Some impression materials have increased in price by a quarter year-on-year. The growth in prices of printing materials in the Czech Republic between 2022 and 2023 exceeded 10%. The prices of other implant supplies rose significantly
Post-implant care supplies such as plaque removers, curettes and special brushes were the most expensive. There, the average price increase was up to 47%. Bone blocks and membranes and barriers also saw price increases of more than one-fifth. For these materials and supplies, the increase was an identical 22%. Lower price increases were expected for augmentation surgery and implant impression supplies. There was an increase of 15% and 13% respectively in the latter case.
Price growth in dental practices slowed in 2023. While the year-on-year price growth in dental practices in the Czech Republic was 20% in 2022, in the same comparison in 2023 the price growth in dentistry slowed to almost half.
